I just came across this telegram sent by Martin Luther King to Coretta King. I like how it ties in the importance of continuing to work toward the greater good while keeping loved ones in mind.
February is Black History Month, today is Valentines Day, and in 56 days it will be Passover when we recount the story of Exodus, Moses leading the Jews out of slavery in Egypt. King used the story of Exodus to remind his followers that others before them had struggled and suffered, had worked together, and had come out of a dark time in history. They had prevailed.
